I’ve been aware of this foundation for many years now, but it came to my attention again last week. Years ago I watched a documentary about an 8 year old boy named Ryan whose heart was moved when he heard about the conditional water supply of many African countries. The contrast between his own ability to access water whenever he wanted and that of the people of some parts of Africa was so shocking to him, he decided to help.
This seed and the subsequent activity that generated a well for a community in Uganda in 1998 turned out to be just the beginning of an activity that caught the imagination of his fellow classmates and members of his community and eventually around the world.
But please discover for yourself, you are invited to read about Ryan’s Well and perhaps offer you own contribution.
Here’s a vid and guided tour of the foundation’s history
